Björn Again: A Tribute to Abba
Sounds Like Summer at Epcot As part of their summer entertainment offerings, Walt Disney World's Epcot presented a series of concerts featuring various bands covering the music of Chicago, the Eagles, Aerosmith and Billy Joel. When we saw that they were also presenting Björn Again, an ABBA cover band, Sarah and I knew that we had to go see them because, after all, who can resist ABBA music!

Abba Abba, of course, is the Swedish pop music group from the late 70's and early 80's with such musical hits as Waterloo, SOS, Mamma Mia, The Broadway musical, Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen. Their music was also the source for the Broadway hit, Mamma Mia.

Björn Again is an ABBA tribute band, taking their name from Björn Ulvaeus, a member of the original ABBA. Bjorn Again Björn Again takes a very light-hearted approach to their portrayal of ABBA. While keeping pretty faithful to the songs themselves, the rest of the act is something of a send-up or parody. The group talk among themselves and to the audience in a faux-Swedish accent, Bjorn Again in performance and have stage names which resemble the group's original names in a humorous way: Agnetha Falstart, Benny Anderwear, Frida Longstokin and Björn Volvo-us.

David gives Bjorn Again the thumbs-up! Sarah and I had so much fun watching Björn Again. We love cheesy entertainment, and this was right up there on the cheese-o-meter. The performances and choreography were hokey. The group members encouraged audience interaction using their silly fake Swedish accents. And, above all, the Abba music was fun and entertaining.
