You're Caller #15!
Every day after work, I drive 80 miles home from Tampa to Orlando. Except for the occasional traffic slowdown, my long commute is uneventful.

I usually listen to my iPod in the car, but this particular Friday evening, My favorite Orlando radio station: Mix 105.1 I had a short in my car adapter and listened to the radio instead. My favorite Orlando station is Mix 105.1, a nice variety of music from the 80's, 90's and today. In between songs and commercials, Epcot Food & Wine Festival the radio personality was announcing a prize package of two tickets to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and $50 spending money in Disney Dollars to the fifteenth caller.

$50 Disney Dollars spending money The Epcot tickets didn't particularly interest me since Sarah and I have annual passes to Walt Disney World and can go to Epcot whenever we want. As often as we do go, though, the $50 in Disney Dollars spending money was certainly very appealing.

I'd just recently saved the radio station's phone number to my cell phone for just such an opportunity, so I decided to try my luck. I dialed the station's number and received a "Network Busy" error on my phone. I couldn't get through! Calling the radio station I tried again... and again... and again, and each time I received the "Network Busy" message. Of all the times to not be able to get a phone signal out! I was sure my chance to win had slipped away.

I tried one more time... and the phone started ringing. It rang and it rang and it rang. My heart was beating fast as I anticipated a voice coming on the line to tell me that I was "Caller #12" or "Caller #17", anything but "Caller #15." Suddenly, the phone stopped ringing and someone was telling me that I had just won tickets to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and $50 in Disney Dollar spending money!

I'd won! I was the 15th caller! I couldn't believe it! I'd never won anything before! I was very excited! I didn't even realize that my conversation was being recorded until moments later, while I was on hold, I heard my own voice on the radio. I thought I sounded very flustered and stupid... but it didn't matter! I'd won! I then provided the radio guy with my information and, as soon as I have a chance, I will go to the radio station and pick up my prize.

Needless to say, it was a much more exciting car ride home from work than usual!
