Exotic Animal Adventure
One afternoon, Sarah and I drove out to St. Cloud, Florida, to hang out with a bunch of animals. St. Cloud is where our boss, Joel, lives and where new show animals go to begin their training and old show animals go to live out their retirement. To his menagerie of domestic animals, Joel has added a multitude of exotic animals that Sarah and I were eager to meet.

A couple of Capybaras What a wonderful afternoon we spent visiting with animals that many people have never even heard of much less seen in person and interacted with. Sarah bonds with Gabby the Camel There were a kangaroo and dingoes and capybaras and a marten and camel and ostriches and lemur and bush baby and kinkajou and lynx kittens A Binturong peers out at us and a tortoise and a fennec fox and a tamandua (or lesser anteater) and a binturong... and more!

A playful Lynx kitten Most of the exotic animals were still very young and completely content with human interaction, so we were able to get close to many of them and touch them and even hold them. What a thrill it was to be face-to-face with these unique animals!

One of Sarah's Sarah falls in love with Mokey the Bush Baby favorite animals has always been the bush baby. On our Exotic Animal Adventure, not only did she get to see a bush baby up close, she actually got to hold and spend quality time with a very young bush baby named Mokey. Sarah was smitten. Mokey the Bush Baby gets in Sarah's hair She let Mokey climb all over her, pull on her hair, bite on her fingers. She was so enraptured with the bush baby, unable to stop watching and marvelling at its tiny cuteness, and reluctantly said goodbye to her new little friend.

A kuddly Kinkajou One of my favorite animals from our visit was the kinkajou. He was a silly, playful little creature with an unforgettable, endearing little face.

Another animal that we met on our visit that was perhaps not as exotic but just as charming and lovable Herman the little Teacup Pig was Herman, the teacup pig. This tiny little full grown pig was probably no more than eight inches tall. He was so cute toddling out to see us. It was impossible not to fall in love with this miniature little porker. 'The Dingoes ate my David'

Sarah and I had such a wonderful time visiting with all of the exotic animals. What a wonderful opportunity this was for us to experience some of the world's amazing creatures up close and personal.
