Return to Florida
Return to Florida After just a few months in Ohio, Sarah and I have decided to return to Florida. That's right... we're going back to Florida!

We haven't been real happy here in Ohio. Other than our families, we feel like there isn't much here for us. As Sarah put it, Columbus is too "normal" for us. We miss the excitement of Orlando.

As we've looked around for work, we've realized that we are never going to find anything as fulfilling as performing at this point in our lives. And there are jobs waiting for us back in Florida!

Busch Gardens Joel Slaven, our boss from the Pet Show, contacted us recently and said that Busch Gardens in Tampa was putting together a new kid's show. The show would include one dog and a single trainer. I had worked with the Busch Gardens' Director of Entertainment before, and she requested me for the new show. Our initial reaction was that we couldn't move back, but as we thought about it more, it just felt right. Sea World So we talked to Joel and told him that we were going to move back to Florida.

Sarah very much misses working with animals, so she will be returning to Pets Ahoy at Sea World in Orlando. And I will be commuting to Busch Gardens in Tampa to do the new show.

Land of the Dragons The new show will be a kid's show in Busch Gardens' Land of the Dragons. The dog will be the lost dog of the Princess, and the cast and the audience search for him and eventually find him in the end. In addition to the dog, the cast includes a dragon and some puppets. Originally, the dog trainer wasn't really going to be part of the show, but since I am taking the role, the Entertainment Director is considering incorporating me into the show more.

Walt Disney World We are very excited about being back in Florida (although we are not thrilled about having to pack up and move yet again). There are so many things we miss about Orlando. And we have been going through severe Walt Disney World withdrawal.

The hardest part of moving is leaving our families. It was such a treat being so close to them, and I know they enjoyed having us nearby. But they understand that we need to be where we are happy doing something that makes us happy. And, no matter where we go, they will always be family.

And everyone we will work with in Florida is so excited to have us back. It's nice to be wanted and appreciated! We have to be in Florida around the beginning of March, so we will head down around the end of February when I finish teaching my Let's Pretend preschool drama class.

Florida! Here we come!
