Ice! at Gaylord Palms
David & Sarah visit Ice! Orlando, Florida, may have tourist attractions on virtually every corner, but the "coolest" attraction in town is Ice! at the Gaylord Palms resort hotel.

Ice! is a winter wonderland A bit cold for Florida's flamingoes and gator! where two million pounds of ice are transformed into miraculous ice structures and sculptures. The nearly 5,000 blocks of ice are hand carved by artisans from China, and the ice comes in an All aboard the Ice! holiday train! array of magical colors like lavender, blue, pink, orange and yellow. Some of the ice also has lights frozen inside of it to create an even more wondrous glow! 9 degrees inside!

The unique building that Ice! is housed in is known as the "Florida Fridge," and the temperature is kept at a very frigid ! Even with the parkas they provided for us, the chill still seeped into our bones.

Sarah and David take a horse and carriage ride through Ice! Our Ice! adventure took us into a frosty fantasy land that included a holiday train depot complete with a locomotive, a Victorian holiday home Don't lick the ice! with a life-sized horse-drawn carriage we could sit in, a whimsical Santa's Toyland, and a majestic Church in the Woods. There were even ice slides for us to slide down!

Heather, Kevin David and Sarah become snowmen at Ice! Ice! was a most unique experience. We marvelled at the magnificent detail of the ice sculptures. We giggled like little kids David and Sarah at Ice! as we explored the structures made entirely of ice. And we delighted in taking picture after picture after picture as we were awed and amazed around each icy corner. Ice! at the Gaylord Palms was unlike anything we had ever seen before. Totally cool!
