Wonder Works
Animal expert Jack Hanna has a very strong relationship with Sea World and Busch Gardens, and several times a year he appears at the theme parks with a whole menagerie of exotic animals.

Jack doesn't actually travel with animals of his own. Instead, he presents animals from Sea World, Busch Gardens, the Columbus Zoo and other sources.

Gaby the Camel and Joel, my Boss One of those other sources is my boss, Joel Slaven. Joel and Jack Hanna are the best of friends. Joel has a unique collection of exotic animals, and Jack uses many of Joel's animals in his theme park presentations. In addition to the animals, Jack also uses Joel's animal trainers to aid with the presentation.

Phillip the Kangaroo When Jack Hanna presented his show at Sea World in February, I got to take a break from my usual show at Busch Gardens and assist with the animals. Joel with Ben the Binturong We brought with us three ostriches, a lemur, a bush baby, a Canadian lynx, a wallaby, two kangaroos, a kinkajou, a binturong, a couple of dingoes, an African porcupine and a prehensile porcupine, and a dromedary camel. Me with a prehensile porcupine

Our animals behaved wonderfully and were an impressive, audience pleasing addition to Jack Hanna's Sea World show. I love doing my show at Busch Gardens, but it was fun doing something different for a change and getting to spend time with these wonderful, exotic animals.
