| It has been about a week and a half since my knee surgery, and I am already strolling down the road to recovery... well, if not strolling, I am limping down the road to recovery. |
| I spend most of my days at home. I cannot drive yet and I cannot shower or get my incision wet yet (thus the unshaven look), but at least I can now get up and down the stairs and am not imprisoned in my bedroom anymore. | |
Each day gets a little better. I am not in so much pain now. My knee is mostly just achy and uncomfortable. I can bend my leg a tiny bit more each day. And I try to maintain a positive attitude.
One week after my surgery, I started physical therapy. I had been visiting CORA Rehabilitation Clinic for several months prior to my surgery in an attempt to maintain the strength of my leg and to facilitate a speedier recovery process. |

Now, I am back again doing exercises and stretches geared at strengthening my new ACL graft. |
Since I cannot drive on my own yet, I spend my days at home. My daily routine consists of doing my knee exercises, elevating and icing my knee, then repeating the process two more times each day. Life's not particularly exciting these days.
I return to the doctor on Wednesday, July 21st, to have the staples removed from my incision and to check on my progress. |
